The National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty recognises HighQ with Pro Bono Counsel Award

The National Law Centre on Homelessness & Poverty presented HighQ with its Pro Bono Counsel Award during the annual McKinney-Vento Awards ceremony on Tuesday, 19 November in Washington, D.C. Each year, the Pro Bono Counsel Award honours one law firm or other legal service provider that has partnered with the Law Centre to seek justice for those experiencing homelessness and poverty.

HighQ, an industry-leading technology solutions provider acquired by Thomson Reuters in July 2019, provides an instance of its platform for the Law Centre’s use in tracking legal matters and providing a collaborative working environment to better connect stakeholders.

“We have been honoured to partner with the Law Centre and appreciate this distinguished recognition,” said Stuart Barr, Chief Product and Strategy Officer for HighQ. “This has been a wonderful opportunity to see our HighQ platform used for such a noble cause that makes a difference across the globe. Our team looks forward to providing technological support for many years to come, and we thank the Law Centre for allowing us to help them create a more collaborative and productive environment for their work.”

The National Law Centre on Homelessness & Poverty is a nonprofit organisation based in Washington, D.C. It is the only national legal group dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness. The organisation operates programs across the United States that serve America’s more than 3.5 million homeless families, children and individuals.

Each year, the Law Centre’s McKinney-Vento Awards honour and celebrate leaders who raise awareness about and advance solutions to homelessness and poverty. The prestigious awards are presented to innovative change-makers who are fighting for a future where everyone has a place to call home.
